The Climate and Ocean Adaptation and Sustainable Transition (COAST) programme.

COAST, through it implementing partner, DAI Global UK, will provide Grants and Technical Assistance to contribute to the goal of helping vulnerable coastal communities, including marginalised and underrepresented groups, become more resilient to climate change and prosper from a sustainable use of their marine environment through equitable climate adaptation. It is part of the UK Government’s Blue Planet Fund - a £500 million programme supporting developing countries to protect the marine environment and reduce poverty. 

COAST Grants and TA will support the interventions that focus on three themes:

1) Protecting, restoring, and sustainably managing coastal habitats through nature-based solutions;

2) Improving small-scale fisheries’ sustainability, productivity, and resilience; and

3) Unlocking more sustainable aquaculture
